Employee engagement is crucial for the success of any organization, and disengaged employees can reduce productivity and increase costs. Media leaders are concerned with the negative impact that employee disengagement can have on firms’ profitability and competitiveness. Grounded in Herzberg’s two-factor theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore strategies leaders use to increase employee engagement in media organizations. Participants comprised five leaders within media organizations with a local presence in Georgia who successfully implemented strategies to increase employee engagement.
