Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that assists families by building them homes. Habitat raises funds, interviews families in need and chooses a candidate, builds a home, and then gives the house to the family. What sets this organization however, is that they give a “hand up, not a hand out”. Instead of just giving them a house, they require the family to help build it.
