During the summer months of 1994, the Dick Poe Sr. Institutes for Tourism Studies at the University of Central Florida conducted a survey of Central Florida hotel properties regarding wages paid and employee benefits. The project was sponsored by the Central Florida Hotel Personnel Association and supported by the Central Florida Hotel and Motel Association. This comprehensive study solicited 293 hotels for data on wages and benefits on 118 occupational/hourly job titles and 34 management/supervisory positions.
