Fast fashion, the rapid production of cheap clothing made for trends that will only last at most a month, is increasingly becoming more popular. Fast fashion damages both the environment and the workers that are put to work long hours but are underpaid. These issues are overlooked by online shoppers due to the fact that they are unaware of its unsustainability and harsh working conditions. On May 21, 1968, while the warring parties in Vietnam held peace talks in Paris, twenty-four business executives engaged in a heated exchange with Republican Illinois senator Everett Dirksen in his Washington, D.C., office. As described by the Chicago Daily News reporter Betty Flynn, the fifteenminute meeting began with a plea by the business delegation to a "Republican candidate not persisting in hawkish attitudes" to push for a military withdrawal from Vietnam. In this module, students consider various ethical codes relevant in a position of leadership. By the end of the module, students will be able to differentiate between ethics and morals, examine how ethics and morals play a role in the decision making process, reframe their preconceptions of ethical decisions, and compare ethical and unethical paths to reach a certain goal. This module examines case studies of different ethical scenarios that challenge students to discuss different perspectives and develop their own opinions.
