Addressing the lack of accessible restrooms in the Western Washington University (WWU) Performing Arts Center (PAC), this project resulted in the university's commitment to renovate the current restrooms to increase accessibility. In an ever progressing world, renovating outdated infrastructure to achieve the most equitable solution is a necessity. This project addressed specifically the lack of handicap accessible and gender-neutral restrooms in the main lobby, manifesting in an effort to advocate for the renovation of the PAC to include these restrooms. Osha, Ada, And Other Government Mandates, Elise Lael Kieffer

In chapter fourteen the exploration is focused on governmental mandates, laws, rules and regulations. In contrast, policies and procedures within the organization are also covered. The discussion then centers on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), how the administration works, how one must and can follow OSHA mandates, and how penalties can be assessed if OSHA rules are not followed. Finally, the chapter concludes with a lengthy discussion of the physical requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, who must comply, and how one can do so.
