RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspaper, Montage. The March 16, 1973 issue had articles on a visit to the Providence College student activities director, Father McKeon, and a talk by Franics Rogers of Hallmark Cards on how to prepare a portfolio. There was a short article mentioning that the BFA in Teacher Education is being phased out for the 1973-1974 school year at RISD. Comics, drawings, a recipe and events for RISD students were also mentioned.
