Rammed Earth has not yet been studied in terms of soil's inherent spatial qualities. This thesis aims to create a set of rules to follow when designing with Rammed Earth. These vacant lands are often associated with illegal dumping of construction and general waste due to avoidance of refuse collection fee payments, leading to social, environmental, and financial risks. This thesis will interrogate conventional types and methods of memorialization, challenging the memorial as a complete product. Developing from inquiries into alternative acts of commemoration, this investigation will seek to conceive a memorial in the making.
