This publication contains a series of five state case studies of Medicaid managed care programs enrolling elderly care programs enrolling elderly Medicaid recipients. The case studies were prepared by University of Minnesota National Long Term Care Resource Center's two partners: the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) in Portland, Maine and the Institute for Health Services Research, School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These case studies have been conducted under the leadership of Trish Riley and Robert Mollica at NASHP.

ISTEA significantly changed the law governing metropolitan transportation planning. In response to the changes introduced by ISTEA, FHWA and FTA issued revised planning regulations on October 28, 1993, setting new requirements for the transportation planning processes. The requirements are presented in 23 CFR Part 450 and 49 CFR Part 613, Statewide and Metropolitan Planning Final Rule. The Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (CAAA) also imposed rigorous new transportation planning requirements in metropolitan areas, particularly those that are designated nonattainment or maintenance areas for air quality. The information will also be used by local and regional planners to further promote sound land use and floodplain development.

The Shoshone National Forest proposes to issue Term Grazing Permits that will authorize the grazing of livestock on 36 grazing allotments located within the Forest. Permits will be issued for a period of up to 10 years. Part 3 (Special Terms and Conditions) of each permit would contain site specific livestock and rangeland management requirements designed to mitigate existing resource conflicts and implement Forest Plan standards and guidelines specific to each allotment.
