Non-conventional therapies have been termed and captured by the phrase Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), since the establishment of The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), by the Federal Government in 1992. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition engulfed by widespread pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and depression... Meanwhile, there are no successful medications to treat the condition without adverse reaction or side effects. Action research investigates herbs as a remedy for treating fibromyalgia. An exploration of its effectiveness will be evaluated, and whether or not it causes adverse reactions and side effects. In addition, the project will address herbs interaction with pharmaceutical drugs and other herbs. It is hypothesized that herbs are better and more effective than drugs. The medical division between constitutional homeopathy and allopathic medicine shaped the culture in which William Faulkner grew up and wrote. This article examines the debate over the exclusion of indigenous or local knowledge forms from the global intellectual property system, and some of the current attempts to solve this problem. Using the lens of cultural cosmopolitanism, the article highlights important trends in the dialectics of developing countries' engagement with intellectual property and other collateral knowledge protection systems.
