The Experiences Of Elite, Female Club Volleyball Players – An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Chelsea Brehm

The purpose of this qualitative study was to investigate the lived experiences of female athletes participating in national-level club volleyball in a Midwestern U.S. state. Amid increasing sport privatization and a growing emphasis on early sport specialization, female athletes in club volleyball are navigating complex pressures tied to elite competition, college recruitment, and psychosocial well-being. Using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), this study sought to uncover how athletes experience and make meaning of their participation in this highly demanding sport structure.

Abstract: This study aimed at finding out the obstacles that face the teachers of physical education in teaching basketball, and volleyball for the secondary stage in the schools of Al-karak district. The descriptive methodology was used in this study. The sample of the study consisted of (38) male and female teachers who teach physical education for the secondary stage in Al-Karak district. A questionnaire was built. It consisted of (22) items, which were distributed to four dimensions: possibilities, students, curriculum, and teacher’s guide. Association Between Neuromuscular Characteristics Of Agility In Jumping Tasks, Lara Boman

This study evaluated the influence of drop height on and the statistical associations between Sheppard & Young’s (2006) three neuromuscular characteristics of agility: reactive strength, concentric strength and power, and bilateral symmetry. Nine NCAA DI women’s volleyball players completed a depthjumping protocol at three different drop heights. Ground reaction force data was used to calculate the reactive strength index (RSI); peak and average power, peak and average force; and percent differences between the right and left lower limbs in peak and average power and force.
