Program Makan Bergizi Gratis Indonesia Dalam Pandangan Media Internasional Berbahasa Arab, Said Muhammad Hasan Al Syarif Jan 2026

Program Makan Bergizi Gratis Indonesia Dalam Pandangan Media Internasional Berbahasa Arab, Said Muhammad Hasan Al Syarif

Multikultura

This study examines how Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program is represented in Arabic language media, focusing on the construction of ideology and the framing of public policy within discourse. As a quick-win initiative of President Prabowo Subianto’s administration in 2025, the MBG Program aims to improve nutrition and human capital quality, yet it has sparked controversy and drawn significant international media attention. This research addresses a gap in existing studies by critically analyzing the representation of Indonesian social policy in Arab media. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), encompassing three dimensions: …

It Is Not Her Fault She Didn’T Know Mary Had A Lamb, Samer Ridikkuluz

Theses and Dissertations

“It is not her fault she didn’t know Mary had a lamb” is not an Arab Queer conflict. It is the genocide of everything they told me art was and the decolonial clarity of what art can be. Whether it be bridging the gap between the East and the West, the straights and the gays, or me and the world—I investigate the human condition, the parts we play, and how identity evolves and hides.

Palestinian Evangelical Christian Music In Bethlehem, Israel/Palestine, Abby Smith May 2021

Palestinian Evangelical Christian Music In Bethlehem, Israel/Palestine, Abby Smith

Senior Honors Theses

Often the story of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is portrayed as Jewish vs. Muslim, Hebrew vs. Arab. There is little room in the international dialogue for minorities such as Arab Christians. Though Palestinians have a rich culture of Arabic musical and poetic heritage, they are unable to produce their own new songs. In this study I interviewed three members of Immanuel Evangelical Church on their experiences and opinions on local Christian worship. The findings show that Palestinian Christians may feel unable to write worship music because of a prevalent feeling of inadequacy and a lack of musical training. I propose several …

The Jordanian Novel In Postmodern Context, Hamed Alalamat May 2021

The Jordanian Novel In Postmodern Context, Hamed Alalamat

Graduate Theses and Dissertations

As the Jordanian culture is gradually impacted by the globalization process of late capitalism, this study argues that many Jordanian novels exhibit a number of postmodern characteristics, such as blurring boundaries and disrupting hierarchies, the use of pastiche as a compositional technique, formal fragmentation, and the weakness of utopian imagination. Adopting Fredric Jameson’s theory of postmodernism as a framework, the study explores ten Jordanian novels written between 1986 and 2016 to demonstrate that the modernization process and the cultural changes in the Arab world, in general, and in the Jordanian society, in particular, have increased the density of postmodern features …

Title : Divinity doctrine in the Arab Thought

Many religious, social and anthropological studies show that divinity in societies in general and in Arab societies in particular is enmeshed with human existence itself. That is, from Adam and on , divinity in societies underwent several changes. The prophets were the one charged to correct doctrines throughout human history .Nowadays, contemporary reality tells us that The Holy Prophet Muhammad is the seal of all prophets and that no other divine prophet will follow both in the Arab world or elsewhere.

The Social Construction Of Arab Identity In The U.S.: The Historical Complicity And The Modern Responsibility Of Social Work, Suhad Tabahi, Jacob Bucher

The Journal of Sociology & Social Welfare

This paper presents the sociopolitical experiences of early Arab migrants in the United States (U.S.) and the process of contradictory and socially constructed racial categorizations favoring white supremacy. Big-Screen Aftershock: How 9/11 Changed Hollywood’S Middle Eastern Characters, Matthew Dana

Did the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, carried out by extremists from the Middle East, affect the way Hollywood portrayed Middle Eastern characters in films? This content analysis compares Middle Eastern characters in films from the five years before September 11, 2001 to those in films from the five years after. On average, Middle Eastern characters in post-9/11 films were found to be significantly darker-skinned, less intelligent, more likely to wear traditional (non-Western) clothing, and more likely to commit acts of terrorism.
