The work seeks to examine the factors that have significant relationships to the rate of preterm birth (PTB) along with its cost to society.

There are four papers within this work. This purpose of the first paper is to measure the impact that healthy behaviors have on the rate of PTB when modeled with other factors like household demographics, community deprivation, chronic disease and mental health. This work finds that positive health behaviors has a negative relationship with PTB. The interaction between body mass index (BMI) and social class and its relationship to PTB is examined in the second paper. …

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun suatu model goal programming untuk mengoptimalkan perencanaan menu harian lansia penderita hipertensi. Fungsi tujuan model ini yaitu untuk memaksimumkan kandungan gizi makanan lansia sesuai Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG), meminimumkan biaya pangan, memaksimumkan kuantitas pangan, dan meminimumkan konsumsi pangan yang mengandung natrium. Berdasarkan eksperimen komputasi yang dilakukan dengan menerapkan model weighted goal programming ini, dihasilkan solusi optimal kebutuhan gizi lansia penderita hipertensi yang sesuai dengan AKG. Stereotypical representation not only limits the socially accepted traditional roles of gender, but also has an impact on how people perceive women. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh protokol hidrasi dan status hidrasi terhadap performa kekuatan otot tungkai bawah, atensi, dan passing atlet futsal. Metode yang digunakan adalah analitik kuantitatif dengan desain pretes (sebelum penerapan protokol hidrasi) dan postes (setelah 3 minggu penerapan protokol hidrasi) 22 atlet futsal Akademi Mayasari Bandung. Exercise at the appropriate intensity and level has been shown to improve lipid profile and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. This study investigates the effect of swimming training on total cholesterol levels and body weight in male Wistar rats. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya respon perubahan pada kadar asam urat akibat aktivitas olahraga bulu tangkis. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak delapan responden dengan kriteria tertentu. Perlakukan aktivitas fisik dilakukan dua kali pada hari yang berbeda dengan 4 kali pengukuran kadar asam urat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah repeated measure analysis. Ketika subyek diukur berulang kali dengan jumlah yang sedikit per percobaan maka repeated measures analysis dapat digunakan. Peran ahli gizi sebagai tenaga keolahragaan pada dasarnya merupakan mandat hukum dari Undang-Undang No. 3 Tahun 2005 tentang Sistem Keolahragaan Nasional, khususnya Pasal 63 yang menyebutkan bahwa ahli gizi merupakan salah satu tenaga keolahragaan. Pada praktiknya, implementasi peran ahli gizi sebagai tenaga keolahragaan di pusat pembinaan atlet masih belum optimal. Keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan anggaran, serta belum adanya kebijakan operasional yang mengatur tentang penempatan ahli gizi di pusat pembinaan atlet menjadi beberapa kendala yang perlu solusi. ICLAS Laboratory Animal Quality Network (LAQN) programs currently consist of the Performance Evaluation Program (PEP), which focuses on microbial monitoring by and for laboratory animal diagnostic laboratories, and the Genetic Reference Monitoring Program (GENRef), which provides assay-ready reference DNA for genetic testing of mouse strains. Since 2008, PEP has grown to become a truly international program with participating laboratories in 5 continents. Launched in 2016, GENRef currently distributes DNA from 12 common inbred mouse strains for use in genetic monitoring of locally inbred colonies as well as for genetic testing of stocks, particularly genetically engineered stocks, of uncertain origins. This study was designed to explore the high-intensity interval training (HIIT) effects on cardiorespiratory fitness as well as the reversal of left ventricle (LV) remodeling, and association between them in heart failure (HF) patients. We included HF patients under our HF care program between 2009 and 2018. The 17 HF patients enrolled in the study were further divided into in-hospital supervised HIIT (n=8) or medical care (control) (n=9) groups according to their preference. All participants underwent cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) examination and a cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) before the exercise intervention or medical care. Estrogen deficiency increases the rate of osteoporosis, especially in menopausal women, by altering the bone tissue microarchitecture. Propolis has compounds that could be used as an alternative therapy to treat estrogen deficiency and to protect against bone damage. Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr. (Phyllanthaceae) is a green vegetable. It is rich in natural antioxidant compounds such as phenolics and flavonoids. The pre-extraction preparation can affect the results of extracting compounds from natural materials. This study aims to determine the effect of pre-extraction procedures, including sample form (fresh/dried), drying process (oven-drying/indirect sunlight-drying/air-drying), and particle size (ground/powdered) on total phenolic and flavonoid levels of ethanolic extracts of S. androgynus leaves and their antioxidant activity against DPPH radicals.
