Since it’s founding in 1957, the ballet company, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal (LGBCM, Les Grands Ballets), has stretched the reputation of classical dance. Within its first year, the dance company was listed as a “top-rank cultural institution, actively involved in the presentation and promotion of dance in all its forms” (Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal “National Centre for Dance Therapy”). To continue its legacy, the Executive Director of LGBCM began collaborating with LGBCM’s Director of Development of Affairs, to establish the National Centre for Dance Therapy (NCDT, the Centre). A Modeling Of Bradford Keeney’S Ability To Gain Cooperation With Directives, Robert Musikantow

The Qualitative Report

Gaining cooperation with directives is an important aspect of psychotherapy. This paper analyzes therapeutic examples from Bradford Keeney, utilizing transcripts, videos, and the viewing of live sessions. Important factors were identified that lead to improved cooperation with therapist-generated directives. These factors are: Construct a resourceful context, compliment client while highlighting and amplifying resources, utilize resourceful naming, notice reactions and adjust, gain commitment. Each factor is illustrated with examples from transcripts of client sessions.

The purpose of this project was to; identify the biopsychosocial needs of child survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in Belize and to develop a dance/movement therapy based program that Belizean caregivers can utilize to better serve the children they work with. The Introduction to Equine Assisted Family Therapy course offered at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) provides Master’s and Doctoral level student therapists the opportunity to learn how to conduct an equine session and how to utilize horses as part of the therapeutic process. Ethiopia is experiencing an increasingly urban, female-centered HIV epidemic alongside a rise in rural migration of adolescents to Addis Ababa. Often these migrants are confronted by social challenges such as lack of education, inadequate housing, unstable employment conditions, and physical and sexual abuse. These difficult living circumstances contribute to psychological and mental health problems among these adolescents, potentially putting them at greater risk of acquiring HIV. However, knowledge about how targeted mental health interventions can impact HIV-related outcomes worldwide, and in Ethiopia, remains limited. PTSD is a recent disorder in the scope of psychology, only formally introduced to the Diagnostics and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders in the 1970s. Since then, recognition of the disorder and its sources has increased both in psychological awareness and public consciousness. PTSD can come from any severe traumatic event, and can take several forms, as well as imitate other disorders.
