A Study On The Sermonic Application For The Lord’S Reign Based On The Text Of The Psalm, Woon Han Kim
A Study On The Sermonic Application For The Lord’S Reign Based On The Text Of The Psalm, Woon Han Kim
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The Psalter particularly includes "Yahweh Malak Psalms." The psalmist proclaims that "the Lord reigns" through the Psalms in terms of the polemical perspective to the world. The Lord reigns over all the earth in virtue of His righteousness, equity, and faithfulness which other gods cannot imitate. The heaven, earth, and all nations will rejoice and worship the Lord because of the blessedness of the Lord's reign. When people proclaim the Lord's reign, His reign will be actualized at that place. If people theologically, liturgically, and devotionally apply the point to their life, they will experience the glorious Lord's reign.

Woman Has Two Faces: Re-Examining Eve And Lilith In Jewish Feminist Thought, Diana Carvalho
Woman Has Two Faces: Re-Examining Eve And Lilith In Jewish Feminist Thought, Diana Carvalho
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Throughout the religious history of American feminism, Jewish feminist biblical interpretation shifted attention away from Eve as a viable example of women's identities. Instead, Lilith, the independent, "demon" and "first wife" of Adam is praised as a symbol of female sexuality for "Transformationist" Jewish feminists. Re-claiming Lilith as the "first Eve," "Transformationist" Jewish feminists turn scripture on its head. Eve's creation and her actions in Genesis are interpreted as a product of patriarchy and male dominance, while Lilith in the midrashic narrative, the Alphabet of Ben Sira, is used by Jewish feminists to reclaim their identities on religious and …
Hal Lindsey, Dominion Theology, And Anti-Semitism, Thomas D. Ice
Hal Lindsey, Dominion Theology, And Anti-Semitism, Thomas D. Ice
Article Archives
Long before Hal Lindsey wrote The Road To Holocaust2, he was the favorite whipping boy of Dominionist/Reconstructionists in their never ending attacks on the system of theology they most love to hate—Dispensationalism. When Lindsey answered back in The Road To Holocaust, the temperature of the debate boiled over into heated response. In spite of all of the huffing and puffing and cry that Lindsey struck a low blow in his characterization of Dominion/Reconstruction theology, I want to state why I believe that Hal is correct.

“Judaismo A Tu Manera”: What It Means To Be Jewish In 21st Century Buenos Aires, Gili Ben-Yosef
Sociology Honors Papers
In the summer of 2008 I set out to discover what it means to be Jewish in 21st century Buenos Aires. Through extensive field work, 22 formal interviews, visits to multiple Jewish organizations, and daily informal conversations, I gathered the information necessary to answer my question.
By focusing on three case studies of different Jewish institutions in Buenos Aires, this thesis aims to elucidate two points. First, that despite theories of sociologists such as Marx, Weber, and Durkheim who believed the importance of religion would fade with the onset of modernity and rational thought, religion has not yet disappeared. My …

It Is Ok Not To Have Every Answer: The Book Of Mormon Onomastic Ending -(I)Hah, Paul Y. Hoskisson
It Is Ok Not To Have Every Answer: The Book Of Mormon Onomastic Ending -(I)Hah, Paul Y. Hoskisson
Journal of Book of Mormon Studies
In our search for understanding, it is often instructive to determine what something does not mean. This is the case with the ending on some Book of Mormon names, -(i)hah. Because one of the most common names ending with -(i)hah is Moronihah, the son of Moroni, it might be tempting to understand these names as patronymic; however, of eleven names with the suffix -(i)hah, Moronihah is the only occurrence in which the father is known. The case of the brothers Mathoni and Mathonihah also casts doubt on this interpretation. The suffix -(i)hah can also be interpreted as a …
