An Exegesis Of The Sign-Act Narrative Of Zechariah 11:4-17 And Its Theological And Pastoral Implications, Robert Foster
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This thesis is a study of the narrative sign-act in Zechariah 11 :4-17. Historical critical methods are employed to determine the date, setting and speaker of this narrative. Form, narrative and historical criticism are used to perform an exegesis of this passage. In the end, what may be loosely termed a "biblical theology" approach is undertaken to address the theological and pastoral implications of this passage.

Deagil Presbyterian Church Renovation: Another Opportunity At A Crisis, As A Traditional Church In Korea, Hyun Sik Park
Deagil Presbyterian Church Renovation: Another Opportunity At A Crisis, As A Traditional Church In Korea, Hyun Sik Park
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
A review of current literature demonstrates that very little material exists concerning the renovation of traditional churches. The purpose of this project is to illuminate leaders of traditional churches in Korea regarding renovation. Based on the surveys and questionnaires sent to Daegil Presbyterian Church members, to the neighbors in the community, and to other church leaders in the synod, the project reviews the historical perspectives, the present conditions, and the future vision. There are two kinds of crises in Korea: one is the stagnation of church growth; and the other is an IMF economic crisis. This project was developed using …

A Strategy For Increasing The Participation Of Young Adults In The Kerrville Church Of Christ, Ronald Gregory Cummings
A Strategy For Increasing The Participation Of Young Adults In The Kerrville Church Of Christ, Ronald Gregory Cummings
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This project/thesis focuses on young adults in general and in the Kerrville Church of Christ in particular. The problem is young adults between the ages of twenty-five to thirty-five comprise less than ten percent of the congregation. In a church of 500 members, there are not more than thirty-five individuals in that age range. The perception on the part of young adults i the congregation is that the church leadership does not value them, nor do leaders consider their opinions to be important. The solution to the problem involves analyzing the congregation, forming a focus group among young adult members, …

A Church-Growth Strategy For Revitalizing The Kolhapur Church, Bhupal R. Chandanshive
A Church-Growth Strategy For Revitalizing The Kolhapur Church, Bhupal R. Chandanshive
Doctor of Ministry Projects
The task of this dissertation was to study the factors that have affected the growth of the Kolhapur church in south Maharashtra and to develop a strategy to revitalize the church. Twenty-five years ago, Seventh-day Adventist churches in Maharashtra were spiritually lively and active. But in recent years the churches have become weak; the attendance is nominal and there is little vibrancy.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kolhapur was viewed through the dynamics of church-growth principles, especially those applicable in the Indian context. The history of the church, together with membership statistics, provided information on the church over the last …
