Historical Foundations: Studies Of Literary References To Hesban And Vicinity, Arthur J. Ferch, Malcolm B. Russell, Werner K. Vyhmeister
All Books
"Historical contextualization is vitally important in attaining a view of Tell Hesban as its contemporaries described it. A spectrum of periods are analyzed from their contemporary literary sources: pre-classical and classical sources (Werner K. Vyhmeister), Arab sources (Malcolm B. Russell), a review of critical studies of Old Testament references to the site (Arthur J. Ferch), and traveller's accounts since 1806 (Werner K. Vyhmeister)." AU Press catalogue
Vcu Voice (1989-04-21)
VCU Voice, 1988-1998
VCU Today, the University’s first official administrative organ, began as a somewhat irregular monthly publication but moved to a bi-weekly newspaper format in the 1980s. The newspaper changed its name to VCU Voice in 1988 and ten years later it appeared under the title UniverCity News. As it neared the end of its run as a physical newspaper, the publication became simply VCU News. These four publications were essentially the same periodical published under different titles by the Office of University Relations. VCU News appeared online for the first time in 2002.

The Voice: 1981-1990
Seniors participate in the second annual Independent Study celebration march. The delay in the investigation of a threatening racist comment by a security officer causes concern. Letters to the editor also address this incident and its investigation. Asbestos is removed from several places in Holden Hall. Backlash against Salman Rushdie's book The Satanic Verses does not affect Iranians in America, but has heightened tensions between America and Iran. Wagner Hall implements a volunteer program, available by application. After the head of Domino's Pizza donated to an anti-abortion group, women's groups call for a nationwide boycott of Domino's.

The Anchor, Volume 101.20: March 8, 1989, Hope College
The Anchor: 1989
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.
