Great Basin Naturalist

A key to the Utah species of Bombylius is presented. Bombylius heximaculatus, nigriventris, montanus, abdominalis, aestivus, and auriferoides, new species, and lancifer kanabensis, subspecies new, are described from Utah. Bombylius lassenensis, new name, is proposed to replace the preoccupied B. pallescens Johnson and Maughan.

Social Workers' Attitudes About Poverty, Trudy Hussmann

Dissertations and Theses

The purpose of this study is to assess the attitudes of a select group of social workers in the Portland area. The study will focus on their attitudes about the causes of poverty and actions to deal with problems of poverty. These attitudes will be examined in the context of a theoretical framework. The sample consists of those social workers and social work-related professionals who serve as field instructors for the Portland State School of Social Work. This means that the study will also provide information about the attitudes that Portland State social work students are likely to encounter in …

There are four versions of this paper given here. The first, some two years earlier than the other three, was prepared for the 1975 ASSA Conference and the Society of Government Economists, December 29, 1975. The second two versions, almost identical, were prepared for publication. They appeared in March/April 1977 issue of Challenge, and in the Winter, 1977 issue of the Nebraska Journal of Economics and Business. The archives also had the fourth version, differing only slightly from the published versions, that had no firm date.
