El-Nawawy and El-Masry (2017) argue that media “devalue black lives” and “race, then, cannot be ignored as a factor” when considering the media and political treatment of terrorism’s victims (2017, 1810). Furthermore, media give less coverage to victims of terrorism in attacks occurring in countries outside the Global North (Nevalsky 2015). In this paper, we theorize race and terrorism along with gender. We discuss the ways that scholarship, media, and political actors give (or do not give) attention to victims of terrorism. Work-family conflict can cause conflict for police officers due to stress and danger on the job. Stress from home can make work difficult and work-place stress can affect life at home. Three forms of work-family conflict (time-based, strain based, and behavior-based conflict) were examined. This quantitative study examined how work-family conflict affects job satisfaction, intention to stay employed in the field of law enforcement, and whether there was a difference in work-family conflict between male and female police officers. Many of us grew up watching Disney Films and throughout the last decade and prior, the Walt Disney Company has created a variety of characters whom we grew up alongside. As we watched these films we found ourselves within the characters and learned things through them. This thesis paper aims to analyze Disney Princess Films and their profound effects on Gender and Body image through the theoretical perspective of the Social Learning theory.
