Proper identification of motivational factors may assist in understanding how employees may be motivated to maximize their full potential. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to investigate the workplace motivating factors influencing organizational representative employees in Nigeria, while recognizing the critical role of employee motivation in organizational success. The research questions addressed the factors that drive organizational representative employees, focusing on intrinsic, extrinsic, and social motivators in the Nigerian workplace. Lack of exercise and obesity are prominent social problems in the U.S. population. Therefore, understanding the experiences that promote or hinder motivation and exercise adherence is important. A total of 15 adult participants who engaged in CrossFit for a minimum of 6 months were recruited for this generic qualitative study using purposeful sampling methods. In order to address this gap, this qualitative study explored the lived experiences of female expatriates who chose to teach and live in Saudi Arabia for longer than 1 year.
