Predicting Flight Fares With Machine Learning: Enhancing Aviation Industry Pricing Forecasting, Reem Almulla
Theses
This research investigates the increasing challenge of accurate flight fare prediction for travel agencies that are functioning and working in the post-pandemic aviation market. As the prices fluctuate while demand is unstable and competition pressure increases, therefore it influences decision-making and profitability. In most cases, traditional ticket pricing methods often can be ineffective when capturing complex and non-linear relationships within factors that influence the ticket fare dynamics. As a result, highlighting the urge of more adaptive pricing and data-driven predictive machine learning models. In response to this challenge, the research examines the effectiveness of machine learning techniques for enhancing flight …
Predicting Employee Attrition With Machine Learning: Data-Driven Strategies For Enhancingworkforce Retention, Ali Almheiri
Predicting Employee Attrition With Machine Learning: Data-Driven Strategies For Enhancingworkforce Retention, Ali Almheiri
Theses
In this research, the dual prediction and prescription model is developed and validated so that this model can not only predict employee turnover risk, but it also proposes the appropriate retention interventions, which apply across industries. On the basis of the IBM HR Analytics Attrition dataset (n=1,470), we preprocessed demography, job and satisfaction variables and trained three machine-learning classifiers, Random Forest, Logistic Regression and XGBoost to predict voluntary turnover. XGBoost model recorded the best discrimination (AUC=0.87), sensitivity (0.76), and specificity (0.81), which signifies strong predictive power. Analysis of feature-importance was conclusive with time, rate of frequent business travel and compensation …

Role Of Leader’S Emotional Intelligence In Organizational Learning: A Quantitative Analysis, Navjot Kaur
Role Of Leader’S Emotional Intelligence In Organizational Learning: A Quantitative Analysis, Navjot Kaur
Theses
Although most researchers have argued that a leader’s Emotional Intelligence (EI) capability positively influences Organizational Learning (OL), this relationship has only been studied at surface level. Consequently, there is no clear mechanism explaining how leaders facilitate various sub-processes of learning at the individual, team, and organizational levels. In this study, we operationalize Goleman’s (1998) mixed model of EI and 4I framework of learning proposed by Crossan et al. (1999) to shed further light on this connection. Our study follows a deductive approach, where a conceptual model is first developed through a conceptual literature review and then empirically tested using correlation …

I extracted data from Wright's original graphical analysis, and analyzed these data with Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA), to assess the value of these data for use as historical benchmarks for future studies on the same tributaries. Wright identified 52 species of fish within his distribution diagrams, eight of the species were rare species and were not analyzed with the CCA. Of the 44 remaining species analyzed, 37 matched very well between Wright's interpretations of his data, and …

The growing use of portable Internet devices (smart phones, iPads, laptops, etc.) has caused a huge shift toward digital distribution of content over traditional print processes. Poor economic conditions have contributed to increased customer price sensitivity and higher costs of goods involved in printing. These factors have changed demand for traditional printed products. Many printers have been unable to adapt to the new market environment, leading to dwindling profit margins and thousands of shop closures. Many strategies have been touted as the "best" way to stay profitable in the new market environment, including value-added services, new machinery, and software packages. …
