Measuring Nursing Student’S Performance, Attitude And Psychological Impact Of Different Evaluation Approaches In Simulation Education At Arab American University- Palestine, Mohammad Asia, Maysa Kassabry
Journal of the Arab American University مجلة الجامعة العربية الامريكية للبحوث
This study aimed to compare the competency and psychological impact of using the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) to the traditional evaluation methods (TEM) in evaluating cardiology skills among nursing simulation students. Thirty-two students were initially assessed using TEM, and one week later using the OSCE. Scores of the student competency were compared using paired sample t-tests, while semi-structured interviews were used to expand on qualitative measures. Students' mean scores were significantly higher in using OSCE than in TEM (p< 0.001). Students' attitudes and perceptions of both approaches showed favorable attitudes towards OSCE on most of the items. The qualitative data showed that students with lower GPAs and utilizing the OSCE approach experienced higher anxiety. The psychological impact of evaluation approaches requires additional investigation.

Heritage Figures In Contemporary Algerian Feminist Poetry, Naima Boulkaibet
Journal of the Arab American University مجلة الجامعة العربية الامريكية للبحوث
Heritage in poetry may be one of the most studied themes. It is an essential element in saving identity and singularity (uniqueness) wanted by poets in their poems. That was manifested with modernism poets who coexisted with heritage and grasped the way they can use it and the charming beauty it adds to the poem. The manifestation of using heritage in the Algerian modern poetry in general and feminist poetry in particular confirms the poet’s recognition of the historical and civilizational awareness included in their poetry by the use of heritage. This study is an exploration of the way that …

The paper aimed to examine "Frankenstein in Baghdad" by the Iraqi novelist Ahmed Saadawi. The text highlighted the impact of the neo-colonial era represented by the United States' invasion of Iraq in 2003, which launched a new stage of colonialism in the twenty-first century. The novel was able to realistically reflect that historical period in terms of the post colonialism context through an imagined text. This novel reflected some features of the post colonialism novels, especially the textual depths, representations, phrasing and effect and the possibility of achieving all these features.
