A technique is proposed herein for transporting Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) overhead over a 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) Optical Service Channel (OSC) by replacing available inter-packet-gap (IPG) idle capacity with OAM Sequence Ordered Sets. Self-attention mechanisms in neural network models can result in quadratic time and memory complexity, creating a memory bottleneck when processing long sequences. A hierarchical approximation of self-attention can address this limitation. The historical key-value cache can be represented as a balanced hierarchical tree where internal nodes store aggregated representations of token clusters. A query-dependent traversal mechanism can then approximate the influence of distant clusters by pruning subtrees based on a configurable criterion, such as the ratio of a cluster's spatial diameter to its distance from the query. A system performs large-scale information retrieval using a large language model (LLM) by pre-computing a key-value (KV) cache for a document corpus. The retrieval prompt is structured into static and dynamic parts, where the static portion includes system instructions and the entire document corpus. In an offline process, the LLM processes this static portion to generate and store a corresponding KV cache. During online inference, the system loads the pre-computed KV cache and appends the dynamic user query, which enables the LLM to perform its attention-routing task without reprocessing the entire corpus. A statistical safety gate is described herein for automatically deploying machine-tuned configurations to a production network controller, including a traffic-pattern-correlation-based link-detection engine. The gate compares a candidate engine configuration with a current production configuration using paired statistical hypothesis testing. It automatically selects McNemar's test for normal sample sizes, an exact binomial test for small discordant-pair counts, or an explicit bypass when a sample is too small. A short-circuit prevents unnecessary configuration changes when the current configuration already satisfies an operator-defined accuracy threshold. Dynamic IR-drop verification, the analysis of transient supply voltage sag caused by currents in resistive supply metal, can become a simulation bottleneck for analog-mixed-signal (AMS) blocks. Layout-dependent current profiles may demand long transient simulation runs, and a custom analog power delivery network (PDN) lacks the structured grid routing found in digital designs. A prediction method addresses these limitations in two stages. A first stage applies graph attention layers to a circuit graph once per circuit and caches the resulting static embedding.
