Fractional Partial And Integral Differential Equations And Novel Conformable Double (Laplace -Sumudu) Transform, Ahmad Qazza, Shams A. Ahmed, Rania Saadeh, Tarig Elzaki

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

This article presents a novel methodology for dealing with fractional partial differential equations and fractional integral equations, subject to particular constraints, by combining the Laplace transform with the Sumudu transform. The conformable double Laplace-Sumudu transform (CDLST) method handles integrals and derivatives of fractional orders by using conformable derivatives. In this paper, we present a thorough examination of the fundamental traits and revolutionary developments related to the proposed shift. It is feasible to convert fractional partial differential equations and integral equations into algebraic equations by using the CDLST and its inherent properties. This modification makes finding solutions simpler, enabling quicker and …

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

This paper uses the Generalized Extreme Value Distribution - Archimedean Gumbel copula modelling approach to quantify diversification effects in a bivariate portfolio of financial asset returns. This paper estimates Value at Risk (VaR) and Expected Shortfall (ES) of a portfolio consisting of the South African Industrial and Financial Indices using Monte-Carlo simulation. Results show that the portfolio risks are smaller than the sum of the individual component risks, indicating diversification benefits for investors. This approach is valuable for assessing, preparing, and mitigating risks in investment decisions, particularly for international investors considering cross-market diversification.

Exploring Exchange Interactions In Two-Qubit System, N. K. Seadawy, A. Khalaf, A. M. Salem, Shimaa S. Abdelfattah

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We studied the effect of magnetic field and interdot distance on the exchange interaction in two systems of double qubits, one made of Si and the other made of GaAs. We found that the effect is the same for both systems, but the exchange value for Si qubits is smaller due to the larger effective mass of electrons. This study provides insights into the exchange interaction, which is essential for the development of quantum computers.

Symmetric Colorings Of $\Mathbb{Z}_P^N$, Yuliya Zelenyuk Nov 2023

Symmetric Colorings Of $\Mathbb{Z}_P^N$, Yuliya Zelenyuk

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Symmetries on a group $G$ are the mappings $G\ni x\mapsto gx^{-1}g\in G$, where $g\in G$. A coloring $\chi:G\to\{1,\ldots,r\}$ of $G$ is symmetric if it is invariant under some symmetry. We count the number $S_r(\mathbb{Z}_p^n)$ of symmetric $r$-colorings of $\mathbb{Z}_p^n$, the direct product of $n$ copies of the cyclic group of prime order $p$. As a consequence we obtain that $S_r(\mathbb{Z}_p^n)=p^nr^{\frac{p^n+1}{2}}+S_r(\mathbb{Z}_p^{n-1})$.

Improving Directional Properties Of Circularly Polarized Dish Parabolic Antennas Through Knife-Edge Metallic Scatters, Ali Houssein Harmouch, Ali Elrashidi, Farah Shakra

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

Circularly polarized dish parabolic antennas are highly valuable due to their superior resistance to external noise compared to linearly polarized antennas. Dish parabolic antennas equipped with end-fire helical feeds offer circular polarization, high directivity, and relatively low levels of side lobes. However, the presence of a conducting ground plane in the helical feed obstructs the reflected rays from the dish, resulting in a detrimental impact on the antenna’s directional characteristics. This research focuses on optimizing the ground plane through a series of FEKO simulations, leading to a significant reduction of side lobes and an overall enhancement of the antenna’s performance. …

Statistical Inference Of Marshall-Olkin Extended Exponential Distribution Based On Progressively Type-I Censored Data, Manal H. Alabdulhadi, Ahmed R. El-Saeed, Mohammed Elgarhy, Abd El-Hamid Eisa, Doaa A. Abdo

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

In this article, we intend to study the progressive Type-I censoring (PT-TC) that has been examined, employing the Marshall-Olkin extended exponential (MOEE) distribution as the fundamental lifetime distribution. The censoring technique is believed to be independent and non-informative. Because maximum likelihood (ML) estimators cannot be derived in closed form, ML estimates (MLEs) are calculated via Newton-Raphson method approaches. In this approach, MLEs and asymptotic confidence intervals for unknown parameters are produced. Under squared error and linear exponential (LINEX) loss functions, the Bayes estimations of unknown parameters with gamma priors are evaluated. Once both parameters are unknown, the Bayes estimators cannot …

Exploring Local Quantum Fisher Information Beyond Entanglement Of Two Distant Qubits In Coupled Dissipative Cavities Via A Waveguide, Abdel-Baset A. Mohamed Nov 2023

Exploring Local Quantum Fisher Information Beyond Entanglement Of Two Distant Qubits In Coupled Dissipative Cavities Via A Waveguide, Abdel-Baset A. Mohamed

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

We explore local quantum Fisher information (QFI) and concurrence entanglement of two distant qubits. Each qubit interacts separately with a dissipative cavity, and the two cavities are coupled via an optical fiber. Under increasing the cavity- atom, fiber-cavity, and cavity dissipation couplings, the generation and robustness of the atomic local quantum Fisher information and concurrence quantum information resources are investigated. The frequencies, regularity, and amplitudes of the generated atomic local quantum Fisher information and entanglement can be enhanced while the time disappearance-entanglement intervals are reduced by increasing the fiber-cavity interactions in the presence of the strong cavity-atom couplings. It is …
