INTRODUCTION

In recent years, educators have become concerned about athletes not being able to complete their college work.

Educators have wondered if the guidance and counseling services in the schools have become aware of this and are doing something to help these potential athletes who might continue their education after finishing their junior and senior high school work. These and countless other questions remain unanswered. All of these things have left questions in the minds of educators about what should be done to improve the academic standards of the athlete.
