Margin Of Error, Aubrey Felty
Margin Of Error, Aubrey Felty
Undergraduate Honors Capstone Projects
According to Utah State University’s Office of Analysis, Assessment, and Accreditation during the Fall semester of 2020, about 18% of students enrolled were students of color. About 2.5% of students enrolled identified as two or more races. Margin of Error is a docudrama that elevates the voices of multiracial college students and promotes a better understanding of multiracial individuals. The project involves actor portrayals of interviews with multiracial college students who discuss navigating their multiple racial identities at often predominantly white universities. It also features reactions and commentary on the students’ experiences from faculty and students at Utah State University. …
Landscape Architecture Education: A Study Of Patterns, Tanya Rice
Landscape Architecture Education: A Study Of Patterns, Tanya Rice
All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023
This research is focused on analyzing landscape architecture education of accredited bachelor programs in the U.S. The primary intent was to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the current state of landscape architecture education and the direction in which it is heading. This was conducted through an evaluation of each landscape architecture program’s course offerings. The objectives were to explore the degree of coherence and dispersion of course requirements among programs, compare similarities and differences and identify current patterns, trends, strengths and emphases of the programs. Then design course descriptions were analyzed for identification of word families and cluster networks to …

"Idilemmas" And Humanities Education: Redefining Technology Literacy Pedagogy And Practice, Steven Richard Watts
All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023
Humanities educators at U.S. colleges and universities face sustained challenges in building effective technology literacy practices. As theories of technology literacy evolve, humanities topics are increasingly relevant in technology discussions, as rhetorical and critical analysis, textual analysis, and student learning theory are deeply embedded in current definitions of technology literacy. As such, humanities scholars have dramatic opportunities to become more involved in technology studies generally, and have a voice in technology policies that affect their institutions and students.
However, critical research, classroom teaching methods, and curricula in ICT literacy have fallen behind current needs, and many institutions struggle to define …
Folding Forms, Susan Tibbitts
Folding Forms, Susan Tibbitts
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
“Folding Forms” is a creative research project that examined the process of converting two-dimensional graphics into three-dimensional forms for architectural and interior use. The work required a non-linear, design process involving hand sketching, digital graphics, printing, scoring, cutting and folding, resulting in conceptual, folded paper forms. Extensive prototype and exploratory models were built to achieve the desired outcome. The seemingly simple graphics produce complex forms.

United Methodist Church Campus Plan, Jason Val Betts
Undergraduate Honors Capstone Projects
The United Methodist Church Campus project site is located at 1200 E. South Weber Drive in Ogden Utah. The planning for this project started in 1998 and will continue for several years to come (Appendix A). I was asked as a student of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Utah State University to prepare an illustrative schematic master plan for the project site. The following document will provide my findings upon doing a site inventory and analysis as well as a master plan for the Community United Methodist Church (CUMC).
