There are in the city of Omaha according to the census report of 1930, 11,123 Negros. They have come to this city from various sections of the country. But in the main from rural and urban centers of the South. They have migrated here, as to other Northern and Western cities, to improve their social and economic conditions and for better opportunities in general.
