This study investigated the influence of social media use on library service delivery by librarians in the Federal Universities in South-West, Nigeria. The survey research design was adopted for the study. Total enumeration sampling technique was used to cover the librarians from the Universities. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire. A response rate of 95.4% was obtained. Frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used for the data analysis. Abstract

The study is a survey of librarians’ perception towards collaborative research in South Eastern Nigeria. Four research questions guided the study, the study adopted descriptive survey method. The population of the study consists of 242 librarians in federal and state university in South East Nigeria. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire, the data collected was analysed using percentages and bar chart. This study aims at determining the relationship between demographic variables and the job performance of librarians in university libraries in South East Nigeria. The study was based on correlational research design. A total of 100 Librarians working as supervisors in the university libraries participated in the study. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire. The study examined the perception of the teaching faculty and librarians on collaboration as a strategy for imparting information literacy to the undergraduate students of Nigerian universities. The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Two questionnaires were used to collect the data from samples of 150 lecturers and 64 librarians which were drawn from population of 2526 lecturers and 64 librarians. This study investigated the correlational effects of motivation, emotional intelligence and human capital development on the job satisfaction of librarians in Nigerian public universities. A correlational survey research design was adopted. The study population consisted of 1,254 librarians in public university libraries in Nigeria, from which 923 were selected using simple random sampling. The research instrument used was a self-developed questionnaire. A response rate of 67.2% was achieved. The purpose of the study is to investigate the extent to which librarians use social networking sites (SNSs) and the level of skills possessed by librarians to effectively use these tools. A questionnaire was used to collect data on the skills and use of social networking sites by librarians in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. This study investigated the positioning of Nigerian libraries in collaboration for library and information science development in Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, using cluster sampling technique at the 2014 Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Library Association held at Owerri, Nigeria.
