Our study is the first to estimate prevalence of COVID-19 among pregnant and postpartum individuals for Maine, using data that captures both commercial and public insurance and examines differences by rurality, a known modifier of COVID-19 infections in the U.S. individuals.

As part of a cooperative agreement with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Federal Award Identification Number [FAIN]: NU50CK000586), the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) began a strategic initiative in 2022 both to increase confidence in COVID-19 vaccines and to address medical misinformation and mistrust through education in health professions contexts. Specifically, the AAMC solicited proposals for integrating competency-based, interprofessional strategies to mitigate health misinformation into new or existing curricula. Introduction: In March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, an interprofessional, interdisciplinary team at Maine Medical Center used Healthcare Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (HFMEA) and in situ simulation to rapidly identify and mitigate latent safety threats (LST) in patient transport protocols.

Methods: Following HFMEA steps, stakeholders representing a variety of disciplines assembled to address transport of patients with COVID-19. A process map was created to describe the process. With hazard analysis using table-top simulation followed by in situ simulation, we identified, categorized, and scored LSTs. Mitigation strategies were identified during structured debriefing.

Introduction: We describe the use of focused CME with just-in-time training in pulmonary point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) for hospitalists as part of our response to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This training served as a pilot for developing a longitudinal training program for our inpatient adult medicine providers.

Methods: In mid-March 2020, ultrasound education and image review were deployed within hospital medicine at a large academic medical center. Faculty were provided (1) a small-group lecture focused on ultrasound findings in pneumonia, (2) weekly review of imaging, and (3) a monthly review conference of ultrasound imaging.

This storyboard describes how our Operational Excellence Platform pivoted to keep quality at the forefront of the Covid-19 response. Applying the Framework for Safe Effective and Reliable Care, we implemented the following innovations:

• Daily quality huddles became virtual, with 70-100 frontline leaders sharing alerts, announcements and celebrations
• Traditional Gemba Walks transformed into daily Executive Gemba Rounds visiting all care teams and focusing on patient and workforce safety.
• Patient and Workforce safety concerns were resolved real time and those requiring coordinated response were triaged to the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) for accelerated action.
