Thanking Strategies Across Relational Scenarios And Dyadic Gender Configurations In Urban Saudi Colloquial Arabic, Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Alzahrani

This study examines thanking strategies across three relational scenarios and four dyadic gender configurations among 120 university-educated urban Saudi colloquial Arabic speakers aged 20-40 from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. A scenario-based discourse completion task (DCT) yielded 720 responses comprising 1,843 strategy tokens; these data were supplemented by interviews with 30 participants. The intimate, acquaintance, and stranger scenarios differed in favor type and imposition, representing distinct relational-situational contexts. The DCT elicited contextually appropriate responses; accordingly, the findings are interpreted as reflecting participants' sociopragmatic preferences rather than naturally occurring interactional behavior. This study aimed to identify the attitudes of teachers in Al Amal’s classrooms and institutes at the primary stage regarding the use of e-book in teaching deaf and hard- of-hearing students. Using the Descriptive-Survey Method, 71 teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils took part in this study. Out of awareness of the importance of the social role of art education in the preservation of heritage arts, the current research aims to shed light on the aesthetics of the architectural heritage in Al Ahsa as a cultural and touristic city, the architectural heritage of which emanates from the Gulf architecture.
