A scoping review was conducted to determine which occupational therapy interventions are used with individuals with eating disorders and what effect they have, if any. Four databases were searched to identify sources of evidence, initially resulting in 527 sources. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were used to further review and determine the eligibility of each source. A total of 48 studies were included in the final scoping review. Data extraction of eligible articles resulted in 11 categories of eating disorder based interventions. The spa industry has achieved staggering growth over recent years. In 2015, there were 21,020 U.S. spa locations, most common being day spas followed by resort/hotel spas. In 2002, the first hard data on the number of U.S. resort/hotel spa facilities was revealed to the public. Since that time, the number of resort/hotel spa facilities has grown an additional 56%. Purpose: To study the hypothesis that music will improve the motor learning of a serial task in seven and eight year old children.
Design: Acquisition - Retention Design
Intervention: The twenty-one subjects were randomly divided into two conditional groups, those who received musical intervention and those who did not. Each subject performed the serial task eleven times during the acquisition session. During the acquisition session, the only difference between the groups was the addition of music to the verbal cues in the experimental group.
