The Web Magazine

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Dr. Lonnie Proctor received the Jefferson Award. Ralph "Scoot" Dixon was appointed the new vice president for college relations. The college began to offer the GOAL program, designed to fit the lifestyles of working adults. There were many Charles I. Dover Scholarships awarded.

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. This issue includes several articles on various events on campus that occurred in 1989. There is also an article written by Christopher White on Gardner-Webb, and a section giving honor and thanks to the donors.

The Web Magazine

The Web Magazine focuses on alumni news and campus events from Gardner-Webb College; now Gardner-Webb University. Local high school students attended a symposium entitled "Current Issues and Trends in Business." The Rock Crusaders, Degarmo and Key, came to perform at Gardner Webb. The campus Opera theatre program performed a piece composed by Mozart, translated in English as "The School for Lovers". Rita Noel also came to perform at Gardner-Webb. The Craven E. Williams observatory was significantly underwater. Golf Day was a huge success. Dr. Henry L. Smith was named alumnus of the year.

The 1989 issue of Reflections is edited by Melissa Brown with Joyce Compton Brown serving as faculty adviser. Cover design is by Melissa Brown. Award winners of the student writing contest include: Joan Kyles, Melissa Brown, and Craig Lewis. Award winners of the student art contest include: Melissa Brown, Sumi Watanabi, and Billie Ford Dixon.
