Organizational culture is a sacred element of any organization. It is the lifeblood and the guiding force that makes each organization unique in its ability to navigate day-to-day and longer-term perspectives of corporate operations. Strong cultures help identify direction and philosophy and provide confidence in how to proceed to pursue innovative ideas and solve problems. Diversity in higher education is encouraged and celebrated throughout many predominant universities across the United States. Institutions of higher learning benefit from diversity in all aspects of campus life; from classes, organizations, or extracurricular activities. Institutional theory is applied to this study to examine how diversity programs are implemented in various university types (national research, private, and state) as well as different settings (educational opportunities, leadership, and accessibility) to develop a qualified and diverse workforce. To achieve this objective, we suggest universities implement a multifaceted approach focusing on initiatives at the university, faculty, and student level.

The primary purpose of this manuscript is to identify four contemporary motivational theories and demonstrate how each of these theories can be applied in current everyday situations. The intention of connecting these theories to relatable scenarios is based on a case study developed specifically for undergraduate business students. The majority of these students have not previously been exposed to these theories. The four motivational theories - including 1) Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, 2) David McClelland’s Needs Theories, 3) J.
