The purpose of the study was to evaluate the impact of transformational leadership training on improving a leader’s skills and knowledge in performing daily operations and interacting with frontline staff, decreasing attrition. Ineffective leadership contributes to staff dissatisfaction, poor performance, and attrition. The literature supports transformational leadership is effective in leading teams of nurses and contributes to staff autonomy, staff satisfaction, decreased attrition, and improved patient outcomes. A quasi-experimental research study was completed on a leadership team in a managed care organization. Several barriers exist that impact campus administrators’ use of special education needs coordinators (SENCOs) as change agents. Using grounded theory, this study aimed to understand the barriers that exist for campus administrators regarding their ability to support special education programs and how principals use SENCOs as change agents. The study was conducted on a secondary campus with participants engaging in participatory action research (PAR) within a professional learning community. In this intrinsic case study, the researcher sought to explore athletic directors’ leadership styles with their coaches’ and administrators’ workplace satisfaction at a Christian-affiliated college in the Southwestern United States. The study explored which leadership style is likely to encourage motivation (i.e., achievement, recognition, growth) and hygiene factors (i.e., policies, supervision, work conditions), which could potentially increase or decrease job satisfaction. The data collection method was semistructured interviews conducted with athletic department personnel. The researcher transcribed and quality-checked the interviews against the audio recordings. The purpose of this qualitative case study was to describe strategies framed within transformational leadership that exemplary African American female principals implement to retain teachers in Texas high-poverty schools. Participants of this case study included 10 African American female principals from elementary, middle, high, and alternative Title 1 schools within the state of Texas. All of the principals had been on their campus at least 2 years and had a 75% or higher retention rate on their campus.
