Approximately 22 percent of the world population is estimated to be infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The largest number of cases are seen in Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and the islands of Southeast Asia, while North America and Western Europe are “low incidence” regions.¹ In the US, most cases are seen in foreign-born individuals who emigrate from high-incidence countries. Despite the low incidence in the US, prevention and control of Tuberculosis (TB) remain an important component of Public Health.² Here we present a case of a patient of Vietnamese origin with reactivation TB and rare manifestations of TB.

Acute liver injury may be very difficult to treat, especially when the etiology is unknown. We describe a case of a patient who presented with signs and symptoms of acute liver injury and went through an extensive work-up that did not reveal a definitive cause. The lack of diagnosis can be distressing for the patient, so it is important to regularly communicate the current plan and potential future necessary steps (such as a transplant surgery) to facilitate smooth, informed decision-making throughout the whole process.

The authors review theoretical trends in HMC research, as well as recent critical interventions in the HMC journal that usefully reshape and expand our research terrain. Conventional research such as positivist and quantified approaches are identified as restraining research questions and delimiting understandings of concepts including subjects, agency and interactivity. Feminist cybernetic, critical race, postcolonial and crip theoretical approaches are offered, examining how they fill research gaps in HMC, expanding content areas explored, and addressing diverse intersectional pressures, situated, and time/space dynamics that impact human machine interaction. Existe un contexto de desigualdades sociopolíticas y necesidades insatisfechas para ejercer el trabajo sexual, lo que configuran una injusticia extrema. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los determinantes sociales de la salud que generan inequidad en la población trabajadora sexual de una ciudad colombiana. Se utilizó una investigación cuantitativa con un enfoque asociativo, y la población fue de 131 trabajadoras sexuales cisgénero y transgénero. User-generated reviews have become important to consumers in evaluating market offerings and making purchase decisions. This study takes an overall look at the evolving sources of information from which consumers draw to get information about products and services and focuses specifically on an electronics product, a smart phone. We examine the influence of online product ratings and reviews on consumers. Results from data analysis found that online consumer ratings may have more of an impact on consumers than do the ratings of experts. Introduction: Given the uncertainties with IV iron therapy and potential risk of infection, there may be hesitation to treat hospitalized patients with bacterial infections with this preparation even if clinically indicated. The aim of this study was to examine patterns of prescribing IV iron in hospitalized patients being treated for a bacterial infection and associated clinical outcomes in those with severe infections.

This case report is the second known publication of a very specific collision tumor, where small cell lung cancer metastasized to an adrenal adenoma. The focus is primarily on multimodal radiologic findings of the developing neoplasm, including CT, MRI, and FDG PET/CT. These findings are compared with established diagnostic criteria for adrenal adenomas and metastases, as identified by the literature and content expert review. Epidemiological data regarding collision tumors is discussed, as well as proposed treatment strategies. Similar topics are elucidated for small cell lung carcinoma. Background: Due to the global novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, many students in entry-level occupational therapy programs faced changes to their daily roles, habits, and routines. To understand beliefs about OT practitioner roles in a public health crisis, a cross-sectional study was designed to understand occupational therapy students (OTS) and occupational therapy assistant students (OTAS) volunteer activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: A survey was developed and distributed in April 2020, and closed after five weeks. Quantitative data was analyzed in Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Version 27) and open response data was categorized in Microsoft Excel.

Background: To create bioactive zinc phosphate (ZP) cement with better compressive strength, solubility, sorption, and pH compared to conventional zinc phosphate cement by adding novel sodium-free bioactive glass (BAG) to it.

Materials and Methods: Two test groups were created by mixing BAG in concentrations of 5 wt% and 10 wt% with ZP cement. The control group consisted of conventional ZP cement.
