The body of research investigating collaboration has grown exponentially in recent years with the realization of its potential in generating innovative solutions to complex problems. Even though an abundance of literature on collaboration exists, scholars have fallen short of understanding how collaboration works towards creativity. Lack of consensus on understanding how this critical construct functions has not only made furthering theory on the matter challenging for researchers, but also made recognizing, utilizing, and realizing the full benefit of collaboration difficult for practitioners. International Consortium For Personalized Medicine: An International Survey About The Future Of Personalized Medicine, Julien Venne, Ulrike Busshoff, Sebastian Poschadel, Robin Menschel

The ICPerMed, international initiative promoting personalized medicine, has realized a survey among a group of experts, to define a common vision for the deployment of personalized medicine across healthcare systems until 2030. Materials & methods: ICPerMed defined five perspectives (p.4) and addressed an online questionnaire to 97 international experts to collect their views. Results: Seventy (72%) of the 97 experts effectively answered the survey from which 69 answers were exploitable. Respondents from a variety of international profiles approved the five proposed perspectives and reported required actions and best practices. Bike sharing is one of the fastest growing transportation mode for its environmental and economical benefits. Opportunities are opening up to create and promote new roles for librarians, identifying and building new services, and ultimately increasing funding and visibility for the academic library, especially given the evolving nature of research in a data intensive environment. Advocating the research enterprise means working with researchers on problems, and often on proposals for grants to pay for the work. But foremost it means making introductions, building rapport, being able to follow up and follow through on communication, developing relationships and forging partnerships.
