Marine Benthic Invertebrate Data Obtained Aboard R/V Weatherbird Ii (Wb0517) From 2017-05-13 To 2017-05-23 On The Northwest Insular Slope Of Cuba, Paul A. Montagna, Samantha Schiereck
C-IMAGE data
This dataset contains marine benthic invertebrate data obtained aboard R/V Weatherbird II (WB0517) from 2017-05-13 to 2017-05-23 on the northwest insular slope of Cuba. Nine sites were sampled using a multi-corer between 1000 and 1670 m depth off the northwest insular slope of Cuba. Benthic marine invertebrates were extracted from sediments and identified to the family level.

The explosion of the Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil drilling rig on April 20 of 2010 in the Gulf of Mexico resulted in an uncontrolled oil spill from 5000 feet below the sea surface, requiring an extraordinarily rapid response. A decade ago, the technology to model oil spills from the deep ocean did not exist. A few oil models are now capable of forecasting the 3D transport and fate of the oil from such blowout. An important limitation in estimating the fate of the oil is, still today, the lack of spatially explicit photooxidation model parameterization. Weathering of oil near the …

Ensemble Of Deepwater Horizon 2010 Oil Spill Simulations Using The Oil-Cms Model To Estimate Surface Oil Concentrations And Sedimented Oil Mass, Natalie Perlin
C-IMAGE data
The dataset contains the results of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil spill incident at Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico, obtained from the ensemble of numerical simulations using an updated version of the oil application of the Connectivity Modeling System (CMS) or oil-CMS. The ensemble modeling is a well-established approach in a field of numerical prediction that provides a probabilistic framework for the analysis, aimed at improving the reliability of model estimates and at demonstrating the integrity of modeling studies. The dataset includes the main case scenario of a DWH blowout starting on 2010-04-20 and ten additional simulations …
Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Simulations Using Connectivity Modeling System: Daily Oil Mass And Concentrations On A Spatio-Temporal 4-D Grid, Surface Oil Concentrations, Non-Gridded Sedimented Oil Mass, Claire Paris, Natalie Perlin
Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Simulations Using Connectivity Modeling System: Daily Oil Mass And Concentrations On A Spatio-Temporal 4-D Grid, Surface Oil Concentrations, Non-Gridded Sedimented Oil Mass, Claire Paris, Natalie Perlin
C-IMAGE data
The dataset contains the numerical results of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill incident at Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico, as estimated from the simulations using the latest updated version of the oil application of the Connectivity Modeling System (CMS) or oil-CMS. This contains additional data that complements the dataset that is available at GRIIDC under Unique Dataset Identifier (UDI) R4.x267.000:0084 (DOI: 10.7266/N7KD1WDB). In this version of the oil-CMS model, the specified hydrocarbon pseudo-components are in the same droplet. The post-processing analysis yielded 4-D spatiotemporal data of the oil concentrations and oil mass on a regular horizontal and …
