Studies and accounts of change in police organizations frequently emphasize case studies of specific efforts enacted during relatively discrete periods of time in one or a few agencies. The narratives often emphasize the success of change efforts or seek to explain why initiatives failed in the case study agency. While instructive, such accounts do not provide broader insights into successes and failures with change across longer periods of time, differing types of change, and diverse organizational contexts. Mind mapping is a visual technique that exploits the way we actually think-through synaptic connections and non-linear associations. Learner-centered teaching is a pedagogical approach that emphasizes the roles of students as participants in and drivers of their own learning. Learner-centered teaching activities go beyond traditional lecturing by helping students construct their own understanding of information, develop skills via hands-on engagement, and encourage personal reflection through metacognitive tasks. In addition, learner-centered classroom approaches may challenge students’ preconceived notions and expand their thinking by confronting them with thought-provoking statements, tasks or scenarios that cause them to pay closer attention and cognitively "see" a topic from new perspectives. The goal of the project is to create sustainable, secure employment and expanded business opportunities for Palestinians, mainly from the Gaza Strip, as well as new housing and improved infrastructure in Gaza, upgraded transportation and communications links within Gaza and between Gaza and the West Bank, and strengthened Palestinian governmental institutions.
