Hidden Opportunity: The Advantages Of Synchronizing Multiple Knowledge Bases, Emily Gross, Soley Somma, Jon Crossno
University Libraries Faculty & Staff Presentations
There are many advantages to synchronizing your knowledge bases that benefit your library. However, with reduced staff, the rapid changes across e-Resources, and working with multiple vendors, synching knowledge bases can seem daunting. Panelists will share why and how they chose to synchronize knowledge bases to support their library's strategy.

STEM Instructional Graduate Teaching Assistant Posters
•Thinking computationally means conceptualizing a problem and formulating it in a way that a computer can solve it (Wing, 2010). •Computational Thinking (CT) is the third pillar of the scientific method along with theory and experimentation and is a fundamental skill that K-12 students and undergraduates should be equipped with (Wing, 2016; 2006). •Research on CT has only been active the last 10 years and most studies are still at the stage of ideas (Kalelioglu et al., 2016). •The integration of CT aspects in instruction is a widely expanding phenomenon in physics classrooms in the context of higher education, and …
Unusual Isotopic Effects Produced In Precipitation As A Byproduct Of Unusual Atmospheric Processes, Shelby Hurst
Unusual Isotopic Effects Produced In Precipitation As A Byproduct Of Unusual Atmospheric Processes, Shelby Hurst
Research and Creative Activities Poster Day
Precipitation is the ultimate source of all surface and groundwater recharge. Stable oxygen and hydrogen isotope investigation of precipitation has a long history. The factors controlling these stable isotopes are well known and include mean annual temperature, amount of precipitation, altitude and air mass trajectory (Dansgaard, 1964; Yurtsever and Gat, 1981).

Findings From A Systematic Review Of Key Public Administration Membership Associations’ Journals, Ruth M. Bates-Hill
Research and Creative Activities Poster Day
This poster illustrates findings from a systematic review of articles published in 2015 and 2016 in four key public administration journals. Findings highlight patterns of authorship, research funding, and citations.
Research Methods In Public Administration: A Systematic Review, Adel Hasan Ahmed Aladlani
Research Methods In Public Administration: A Systematic Review, Adel Hasan Ahmed Aladlani
Research and Creative Activities Poster Day
This poster includes findings from a systematic review conducted during a doctoral methods course at Western Michigan University. The systematic mixed methods review covered key public administration membership association journals. The review indicated differences in the research methods and types used with a strong preference for using quantitative research.
Why Do Women Delay In Seeking Prenatal Care? A Discrete-Time Survival Analysis, Ama Agyeiwaa Abrokwah
Why Do Women Delay In Seeking Prenatal Care? A Discrete-Time Survival Analysis, Ama Agyeiwaa Abrokwah
Research and Creative Activities Poster Day
Prenatal care during early stages of pregnancy can result in early detection of some pregnancy related complications which can help reduce both maternal and infant mortality (Conway et al., 2006). The cost of service has been identified as an important determinant of the utilization of prenatal care in most developing countries. This paper evaluates how Ghana’s social health insurance program affects the timing of prenatal care utilization using survival analysis techniques. This paper hypothesizes that having insurance will result in early utilization of prenatal care.

The goal of the present work is to observe x-rays from oxygen for the purpose of investigating resonant-transfer and excitation (RTE) [1], and projectile and target x-ray emission resulting from inner-shell capture. Projectile energies in the range 5-25 MeV will be examined to investigate RTE for heavy targets [2,3].
