From 1880-1930, rugs, blankets, saddle blankets, throw pillows, and wall hangings made their way to Maine as souvenirs of vacations and honeymoons to the Southwest [United States]. Others were brought back by railroad employees or purchases through catalogs sent to the Northeast by reservation traders.
