Despite public policies intended to achieve employment equity for students with disabilities, compared to students without disabilities, transition-age students with disabilities are less likely to be in the workforce even after receiving public vocational rehabilitation (VR) services. The purpose of this qualitative, multicase study was to explore implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) by VR programs through collaboration with state education officials to deliver pre-employment transition services (pre-ETS) to students with disabilities. Whistleblowing is reporting unethical or illegitimate practices witnessed by a member of an organization. Despite the laws and policies protecting whistleblowers in the public sector, many employees who report observed wrongdoings face retaliation. Creating an ethical climate impacts the responsiveness of organizational leaders to whistleblowing, yet little is known about how middle-level managers navigate organizational factors, situational factors, and personal beliefs to create an ethical climate. Natural hazards triggering technological disasters (natech) events exist around the world and affect people, infrastructure, the economy, and environment but are not often considered for local hazard mitigation and emergency preparedness plans. Although nonprofit organizations are essential in addressing social and community concerns to enhance the lives of individuals and groups, Black women face barriers in nonprofit leadership roles. Crucial to such hurdles is the perception that their voices are often disproportionately missing from leadership-based research on women. Despite the 2014 creation of the Minnesota Public Assistance Program (MPAP), no taxpayer program studies covering the 2014-2017 years have been conducted on how the program was distributed for evaluating the communities impacted and determining if there was a difference between years, threshold changes, and jurisdiction type. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of the MPAP for the 2014-2017 years across three different types of jurisdictions: tribal, urban, and rural to assess resource allocation. Generational racism, historical abuses, and mistreatment related to health care have long contributed to a lack of trust among Black Americans in the U.S. health system, as well as disproportionate health status due to inadequate medical care-seeking behavior. Policing needs public administrators willing to implement the strategies and objectives of transformational leadership (TL) and emotional intelligence (EI) to integrate and effectively incorporate elements of the presidential Executive Order 14074 to address the public policy issues of policing in communities. This qualitative study aimed to explore the EI and TL behaviors of law enforcement public administrators through the lens of six subordinate personnel. Unemployment is a major challenge for policymakers in Botswana. Past efforts by government officials to create employment have included diversification away from raw diamond mining and export by offering tax incentives to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in the manufacturing sector, among other strategies. It was unknown whether this strategy might be successful in the tourism sector, which is more labor-intensive than the manufacturing sector. Board members of human service nonprofit organizations (HSNPOs) perform within the self-governing nonprofit sector influenced by complex logics (reasoning) from institutions. Unknown are the origin, identity, role, or purpose of institutional logics or their influence on HSNPO board members to adopt or not adopt existing good ethical governance. This generic qualitative inquiry study explored HSNPO governance and ethics as experienced, described, and narrated by HSNPO board members. This study utilized the theoretical frameworks of institution theory, complexity theory, institutional complexity theory, and institutional logics metatheory. Sri Lanka, despite gaining independence in 1948, has been plagued by ethnic separatism, negatively impacting 29.9% of its ethnic minorities and causing violence and civil unrest throughout the nation. The problem that was addressed in this study was the high rate of recidivism among released offenders in the United States. Recidivism results in the rearrest of up to 650,000 offenders within 3 years of release. Reentry barriers are a primary cause of recidivism across the United States, as released offenders struggle to reintegrate into their communities. Policymakers and researchers have not focused on non-recidivating ex-convicts who designed, implemented, and maintained strategies for successful living. The top-two primary election system, used on a limited basis in the United States, allows all voters (regardless of party preference) to vote for any candidate on the ballot for the primary election; the top-two vote earners advance to the general election, regardless of candidate party preference. Two candidates with the same party preference may advance. Additionally, political parties have no formal ability to affirm or disavow a candidate’s party preference. In this study, the challenges impeding the establishment of sustainable partnerships between small businesses and nonprofit organizations (NPOs) in South Fulton, Georgia, and their potential impact on community development were explored. Drawing upon existing literature and employing a qualitative research approach involving ten community leaders from NPOs and ten small business (SB) owners, the perceived barriers hindering successful partnerships were examined through thematic coding in NVivo. The findings revealed a range of obstacles, including inadequate funding, limited financial capacity, divergent interests, uneven benefits, and challenges arising from the COVID-19 economic landscape. Public corruption has been a persistent issue in Cook County, Illinois, for over four decades. Research on major global democracies has demonstrated a connection between public corruption and low voter turnout. This qualitative study explored whether the same connection existed in the Cook County 2019 Municipal Election. This study used purposeful sampling to select and interview three registered voters in Cook County. This study also applied Rational Choice Theory to determine whether voters voted according to their self-interest. Data were collected through semistructured telephone interviews.
