For this literature review, a range of databases were used such as Google Search, PubMed, and Web of Science (mentioned all the ones you used). The search strategy used was a combination of terms such as "medicinal plant compounds," "plant polysaccharides on metabolic diseases," "effects of berberine on diabetes mellitus," " and "effects of medicinal plants on Alzheimer's." Articles chosen for review were published between 2020 and 2022, and only studies in the English language were considered.
