(R2187) Analysis Of Neurological Impairments In Hospitalized Patients Using Cubic Neutrosophic Sets, B. Anitha, M. Lavanya
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
This study introduces an MCDM-based framework for identifying neurological diseases in hospitalized patients using symptom-based evaluations. A team of interns, guided by the chief doctor, was responsible for determining each patient’s precise condition from the presented neurological symptoms. To enhance diagnostic accuracy, the interns employed the TOPSIS and WASPAS methods to assess and rank the potential disease options. The combined analysis yielded a clear identification of the highest ranked disease for every patient, highlighting the effectiveness of these MCDM techniques in supporting clinical decision making.
Decision Making For Large-Scale Problems Under Uncertainty And Conflict, Benjamin J. Hamlin
Decision Making For Large-Scale Problems Under Uncertainty And Conflict, Benjamin J. Hamlin
All Dissertations
Large-scale decision-making problems appear in many areas including long-range forecasting such as energy generation forecasting. Many such problems are subject to conflicting objectives and uncertain data, and can be modeled as linear optimization problems. We study novel theoretical results and algorithms for large-scale linear decision problems under conflict and uncertainty. First, we propose a parametric Benders decomposition algorithm for solving large-scale linear optimization problems with multiple objectives or deterministically uncertain objectives. Second, we extend the parametric Benders decomposition to a multi-stage setting, developing a parametric stochastic dual dynamic programming algorithm, which enables decision-making when conflicts and uncertainty have planning impacts …
Optimizing Military Fighter Jet Selection: A Decision Analysis Approach For Nuclear-Capable Aircraft, Eni Kelechi Ofong
Optimizing Military Fighter Jet Selection: A Decision Analysis Approach For Nuclear-Capable Aircraft, Eni Kelechi Ofong
Theses and Dissertations
This research investigates the strategic decision-making process involved in selecting a nuclear-capable fighter aircraft for NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) nations in Europe. In adaptation to the continuously changing technology landscape and the necessity for enhanced deterrence capabilities, this study evaluates three potential aircraft: the legacy Panavia Tornado (PA-200), the widely deployed F-16 Fighting Falcon (F-16), and the advanced F-35 Lightning II (F-35). Each platform presents distinct advantages and limitations regarding operational performance, mission adaptability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. To systematically assess these alternatives, the study employs various decision analysis frameworks, including Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA), single dimensional value function …
Chaotic-Encode Quantum Pso Algorithm For Flexible Job-Shop Scheduling Problem, Yuanxing Xu, Mengjian Zhang, Deguang Wang
Chaotic-Encode Quantum Pso Algorithm For Flexible Job-Shop Scheduling Problem, Yuanxing Xu, Mengjian Zhang, Deguang Wang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To solve the flexible job-shop scheduling problem (FJSP), a chaotic-encode quantum PSO (CQPSO) algorithm is proposed. Aiming at the premature convergence of particles to local optimum in standard QPSO, the methods for computing the adaptive contraction-expansion coefficient and mean best position using fitness values of associated particles are proposed to improve the global search ability of QPSO. Through chaotic boundary variation strategy, the probability of a large number of particles gathering at the boundary is reduced and the population diversity is increased to enhance the ability of searching the optimal solution. According to the iterative property of QPSO, a …

A Fuzzy Group Decision-Making-Based Method For Green Supplier Selection And Order Allocation, Lu Liu, Wenxin Li, Xiao Song, Bingli Sun, Guanghong Gong
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: With the intensity of market competitiveness, the worsening of the global environment, and the improvement of public concern about environmental protection, the issue of green purchasing has received considerable attention. The vast majority of existing studies on green purchasing have concentrated on supplier selection with green criteria, so as to realize sustainable operations, whereas it is more feasible and economical for businesses to obtain the proper products from adaptable and suitable suppliers at the right times, rates, and volumes, which is referred to as supplier selection and order allocation. To resolve the aforementioned two crucial challenges, we propose a …
Quantitative Methods For Total Lifecycle Risk Likelihood And Impact Assessment In Sustainable Product Design Decision Making, Christian Enyoghasi
Quantitative Methods For Total Lifecycle Risk Likelihood And Impact Assessment In Sustainable Product Design Decision Making, Christian Enyoghasi
Theses and Dissertations--Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Sustainable products promise significant economic, environmental, and societal benefits. Numerous methods are available for use during the new product development process to identify alternate product designs that optimize sustainability performance. Once any such design is selected and the product is launched, many uncertainties are likely to affect its performance over the total lifecycle. Such uncertainties give rise to risks that can influence the overall product sustainability performance. However, comprehensive quantitative methods to evaluate the likelihood or the impact of different risks to enable sustainable product design decision making are lacking.
This research aims to address this gap by developing a …

In this research paper, a new approach is proposed for computing the shortest path length from source node to destination node in a neutrosophic environment. The edges of the network are assigned by trapezoidal fuzzy neutrosophic numbers. A numerical example is provided to show the performance of the proposed approach.

The Critical Path Method (CPM) is one of several related techniques for planning and managing of complicated projects in real world applications. In many situations, the data obtained for decision makers are only approximate, which gives rise of neutrosophic critical path problem. In this paper, the proposed method has been made to find the critical path in network diagram, whose activity time uncertain. The vague parameters in the network are represented by triangular neutrosophic numbers, instead of crisp numbers. At the end of paper, two illustrative examples are provided to validate the proposed approach.

In spite of researchers’ concerns to find causalities, reviewing the literature of psychological studies one may argue that the classical statistical methods applied in order to find causalities are unable to find uncertainty and indeterminacies of the relationships between concepts.
In this paper, we introduce two methods to find effective solutions by identifying “hidden” patterns in the patients’ cognitive maps. Combined Overlap Block Fuzzy Cognitive Map (COBFCM) and Combined Overlap Block Neutrosophic Map (COBNCM) are effective when the number of concepts can be grouped and are large in numbers. In the first section, we introduce COBFCM, COBNCM, their applications, and …

Neutrosophic Precalculus And Neutrosophic Calculus, Florentin Smarandache
Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications
Neutrosophic Analysis is a generalization of Set Analysis, which in its turn is a generalization of Interval Analysis.
Neutrosophic Precalculus is referred to indeterminate staticity, while Neutrosophic Calculus is the mathematics of indeterminate change.
The Neutrosophic Precalculus and Neutrosophic Calculus can be developed in many ways, depending on the types of indeterminacy one has and on the methods used to deal with such indeterminacy.
In this book, the author presents a few examples of indeterminacies and several methods to deal with these specific indeterminacies, but many other indeterminacies there exist in our everyday life, and they have to be studied …
Indeterminate Masses, Elements And Models In Information Fusion, Florentin Smarandache
Indeterminate Masses, Elements And Models In Information Fusion, Florentin Smarandache
Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications
In this paper at the beginning, we make a short history of the logics, from the classical Boolean logic to the most general logic of today neutrosophic logic. We define the general logic space and give the definition of the neutrosophic logic. Then we introduce the indeterminate models in information fusion, which are due either to the existence of some indeterminate elements in the fusion space or to some indeterminate masses.
The best approach for dealing with such models is the neutrosophic logic, which is part of neutrosophy. Neutrosophic logic is connected with neutrosophic set and neutrosophic probability and statistics.
