A one-year-old, spayed female Welsh Corgi dog referred to the dental and oral clinic with chief complaint of apparent pitted, rough teeth surfaces, stained a tan to dark brown color. The dog was diagnosed with diffused enamel hypoplasia with no evidence of endodontic disease or malformation of tooth root. A restorative procedure with nanohybrid composite resin was performed. After treatment, the dog showed a good outcome with a smooth tooth surface, restorative material replaced to cover the previous defect and no evidence of pain or discomfort. Bone plates and screws (BPS) have been used for mandibular fracture repair for decades. Although bone healing can be achieved, complications such as damage of dental roots and the inferior alveolar nerve in the mandibular canal have been reported. A screw-acrylic bar technique (SAB) was developed in this study as an approach to minimize those complications. The objective of this study was to compare the percentage of dental root and mandibular canal damage induced by inappropriate screw insertion using the SAB technique with that using BPS fixation. A Servey Of Dental Calculi And Dietary Factors In Dogs, Cholawat Pacharinsak, Damri Darawiroj, Jiranunt Jirasangthong

119 mongrel dogs, brought to Chulalongkorn Veterinary Teaching Hospital, were investigated over a 150-day period. Divided into 4 groups (less than 0.5 yrs, 0.5 to 1.49 yrs, 1.5 to 4.99 yrs, and more than 4.99 yrs) the age of the animals was related to the severity of the accumulated calculi (P<0.05), particularly in the area of the buccal surface. The group, fed on a soft diet, had more calculi deposits than those fed a hard one.
