The overuse and misuse of marketed antimicrobial agents developed drug resistance, which has become a significant problem worldwide. A series of new coumarinyl-oxadiazole Schiff base derivatives were designed and synthesized. These synthesized molecules synthesis of coumarinyl-oxadiazole schiff base derivatives (FP1-FP7) were characterized using Infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic spectroscopy, and mass spectroscopy and evaluated for their antibacterial potential against Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and Gram-positive (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus) bacterial strain by measuring minimum inhibitory concentration values.
