At present, informatization has become an important engine for high-quality economic and social development in China. Systematically reviewing the evolutionary features of informatization policies is an important reference for further optimizing policy layout. This study constructed an analytical framework for policy evolutionary features, covering four dimensions of policy quantity structure, policy issuing department, policy theme, and policy tool, from policy external attributes to policy content elements. Media literacy is widely viewed as an important tool in the fight against the spread of misinformation online. However, efforts to boost media literacy have primarily focused on Western-media and Western-oriented social media platforms, which are substantively different from the media and platforms used widely in the Global South. In the present work, we focus on the media ecosystem of Indonesia and report the results of an online media literacy intervention consisting of short-videos that were targeted specifically to social media users in Indonesia (N= 656). This naming phenomenon can also be found in old Javanese inscriptions. Totally, 10590 Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) on Library and Information Science were contributed by various Universities/Institutions during the period of 1971-2020 in OATD.org. Further, it is found that the countries such as US, Sweden, Finland, UK and South Africa were contributed 73.56% of theses. Purpose

The academic community has warned that predatory journals may attempt to capitalize on the confusion caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to further publish low quality academic work, eroding the credibility of scholarly publishing.

Design/methodology/approach

This article first chronicles the risks of predatory publishing, especially related to misinformation surrounding health research. Next, the author offers an empirical investigation of how predatory publishing has engaged with COVID-19, with an emphasis on journals related to virology, immunology and epidemiology as identified through Cabells' Predatory Reports, through a content analysis of publishers' websites and a comparison to a sample from DOAJ.
