Computing Technologies And Paperless Classroom In Library Schools In Rivers State, Anthonia Eghieso Omehia, Onyema Nsirim

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Paper has been a convenience medium of communicating information, accessing information, as well as delivering and receiving lecture. However, as time changes, the mode of communication and instructional methodology takes a paradigm shift. This has resulted to the use of paperless classroom. Paperless classroom is the use of computing and communication technologies to replace the traditional method of teaching and learning in the classroom. It offers speed and ease of using electronic means in delivering lecture to a large number of students which is cost effective to students and lecturers. Consequently, schools are using computing technologies to ease the cost …

Cloud Computing Architecture For Elearning Systems In Secondary Schools In Tanzania, Kennedy F. Mwakisole, Mussa M. Kissaka Dr, Joel S. Mtebe Phd

The African Journal of Information Systems

In recent years, schools have been investing heavily on information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure to implement eLearning systems to enhance the quality of education in secondary schools in Tanzania. The majority of these systems are implemented using a traditional web-based eLearning approach on school premises which is costly and limits usage due to lack of scalability and flexibility. Consequently, many schools have started adopting cloud computing as a solution. However, this adaption depends on well-defined cloud eLearning architecture. This study proposed cloud architecture for implementing an eLearning system in secondary schools in Tanzania by adopting various layers proposed in …

Applying Utaut To Determine Intent To Use Cloud Computing In K-12 Classrooms, Dorothy Cortez Kropf

Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies

Although school districts provide collaborative cloud computing tools such as OneDrive and Google Drive for students and teachers, the use of these tools for grading and feedback purposes remains largely unexplored. Therefore, it is difficult for school districts to make informed decisions on the use of cloud applications for collaboration. This quantitative, nonexperimental study utilized Venkatesh et al.'s unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) to determine teachers' intent to use collaborative cloud computing tools. Online surveys with questions pertaining to UTAUT's predictor variables of performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), facilitating conditions (FC) and …
