Generational Leadership In The American Revolution And Early Republic, 1763-1800, Kevin Cassidy

This thesis examines the Loyal Twenty-Seven, a group of Massachusetts revolutionaries, and their importance in the American Revolution using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods combined with traditional historical research, to attempt to show that there was a generational shift in leadership between the revolutionaries who led early British protests, and those who led the Revolutionary War and the Early Republic. This thesis is based off an original work, the United States Colonial Dataset, made up of 416 individuals divided into three groups, the Framers, Prominents, and Loyalists, and 215 unique attributes for these individuals, such as their occupation, …

This article emanates from a geospatial database of over 600 premieres of the Cines company’s Quo Vadis? (1913), an eight-reel film distributed by George Kleine, and nearly 250 premieres of the Quo Vadis Film Company’s Quo Vadis? (1913), a three-reel film of ambiguous origins distributed by Paul De Outo. By mapping local premieres of both films across the United States from 1913 through 1916, the data show with spatiotemporal precision the spread of Quo Vadis? as one of cinema’s early blockbuster titles. Although smaller than most poleis in the Decapolis, Hippos Palaistinēs displays a similar concentration of churches within its urban confines during the Late Antique period. Of the known churches, four are clustered in the city center and two are in the domestic quarter, with a possible seventh church in the southeastern quadrant. To date, most of the significant publications have focused on the material remains of the site (Segal et al. 2014).
