Bells Are Ringing, November 24 – December 11, 1982, Theatre Sheridan Nov 1982

Bells Are Ringing, November 24 – December 11, 1982, Theatre Sheridan

Theatre Sheridan Productions

The play is centered on a telephone answering service, Susananswerphone, that manages calls made to absent clientele. One of the workers, Ella Peterson, develops a caring relationship to some of the clients especially a dispirited playwright and is not aware of the illegal bookie racket run by one the clients, Sandor, through the answering service.

The play is a lighthearted romp with wonderful songs sung by Ella and various other performers that ends on a happy note.

Book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Music by Jule Styne.

Director: Rod Maxwell

Choreographer: Maureen Shone

Musical Director: Alan Poaps
