The purpose of this study is to analyze the research article publishing with special reference to preparing to publish and peer-reviewing. Peer reviewing is the process required for standardizing any publications. Manuscript writing is an art. Though it appears to be simple there is a lot of effort required. Peer-reviewing is the process that eliminates articles that do not meet the standard of the journals and the scope of the journals. The Academic Library as Scholarly Publisher Bibliography includes over 175 selected English-language articles, books, and technical reports that are useful in understanding the digital scholarly publishing activities of academic libraries since the late 1980's, especially their open access book and journal publishing activities. Worldwide, faculty members mostly use EIS for teaching, learning, research, and professional development. Though, evidence is lacking to address the EIS preferences among the academicians of private sector universities in the study context. To fill this gap, using a convenient sample technique, a survey was conducted, and a structured questionnaire was used as a data collection tool from 630 permanent faculty members of private sector universities at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A total of 360 questionnaires were administrated, and 250 useable responses were received with a response rate of 69.44%. Exploiting Semantic Similarity Between Citation Contexts For Direct Citation Weighting And Residual Citation, Toluwase Victor Asubiaro

This study used the semantic similarity between citation contexts to develop one scheme for weighting direct citations, and another scheme for allocating residual citations to a publication from its nth citation generation level publication. A relationship between the new direct citation weighting scheme and each of five existing schemes was investigated while the new residual citation scheme was compared with the cascading citation scheme. Two datasets from biomedical publications were used for this study, one each for the direct and residual citation weighting aspects of the study. The first sandbox session of the second series will feature Pam Brannon, Coordinator for Faculty Services at the Georgia State University College of Law Library, sharing "Methods for Populating Scholarly Profiles With Repository Data". Over the past couple of years law librarians have become increasingly involved in assisting law faculty with setting up and populating scholarly profiles, including ORCID profiles. Citation Analysis On The Articles Published In International Journal Of Digital Library Services(Ijodls) During 2015-2017, Sagarika Medhi, Mukut Sarmah

Citation analysis of all the journal articles published in the International Journal of Digital Library Services (IJODLS) from 2015-2017 is carried out. 144 articles published in the journal during 3 years. The highest numbers (55) of articles are published in the year 2015. The journal contained 1915 citations from 2015-2017. The average number of citations per article is the maximum in the year 2015. The study also covers the analyses of authorship patterns in citing articles. In the authorship pattern, Single author citations are dominant than others and it is 806(42.07%).
