This paper examines the use of community-based library and information services in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze data using frequency, tables and percentages. The instruments used in collecting data were a combination of questionnaire, interview and observation. Three hundred (300) copies of questionnaire were administered to randomly selected respondents from ten (10) communities (Afon, Aboto-oja, Ballah, Alapa, Laduba, Ogbondoroko, Olowu oko, Lasoju, Igbo Aran and Elebute) in Asa Local Government and two hundred and sixty-eight (268) copies representing (89.3%) were returned and found useful. This study was carried out in order to determine Internet access and usage by the undergraduate students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. A review of literature was done on information and communication technologies (ICTs) and its importance in education. A description of Internet and its actual use by lecturers as well as students were also reviewed. Data was obtained from 200 undergraduate students of the institution with the use of a questionnaire. This paper focuses on the computer and ICT skills of secondary school teachers in Ota, Ogun state of Nigeria. The purpose was to find out if the teachers were computer and ICT literate and to examine if they employ computers and ICT in their teaching activities. Eighty copies of a self designed questionnaire were administered to teachers in four secondary schools, out of which sixty eight was completed, returned and found usable. This paper examined newspapers and magazines as essential sources of information for students in Covenant University. A survey method was adopted for this research, and the instrument used for data collection was observation, and a self developed questionnaire. A total of 250 copies of the questionnaires were administered to students, only 215 were retrieved and used for the analysis.
Findings revealed that the most consulted newspapers by both male and female students are the Punch, the Nation, Guardian, and Complete Sports, while the most consulted magazines by both students are PC World, Popular Science, Leadership and Time magazine, but female …

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to compare Pakistani LIS schools curricula with Higher Education Commission designed curriculum for LIS schools in Pakistan. The paper identified the most common course titles and the most unique course titles taught in Pakistani LIS schools.
Design/methodology/approach – The author requested to the responsible focal persons of the LIS schools in Pakistan through personal phone calls and emails and collects the data through email and personal visits of LIS schools. We present data on how faculty and students at Seton Hall University use scholarly articles and books, how the library can present its findings to stakeholders, and how librarians can learn from these findings to better meet user needs. The data were gathered using questionnaire surveys of university faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students as part of the IMLS Lib-Value project and based on Tenopir and King Studies conducted since 1977.
